my midwife was a true midwife not medwife, i had hired her after the fathers concerns, she understood and respected all of my wishes that were discussed prior to labour. she never once pushed me into intervention or tests she took No as a no the first time i said it and fully respected me. i couldnt have a waterbirth due to issues with the water system but it was an amazing healing birth and truly how every birth should be. bub was born 10lb 2oz at home, only a superficial tear. 41+3.
