Why did you choose this model of care?

Because I wanted a midwife to build rapport with. This couldn't be guaranteed to me at Gosford Public. I also wanted to be with a calm and trusting provider.

Water immersion for labour and birth, Support for normal vaginal birth, Unmedicalised birth process, Other

How did your birth start?

Spontaneous labour (started naturally)

What were your outcomes?

Attended by my known midwife/doctor, Birth support team of my choice, Water immersion for labour, Water immersion for birth, Instinctive pushing (ie not coached), Vaginal birth, Physiological 3rd stage (natural placenta birth without syntocinon)

Did you feel you could say No to care/treatments offered (or change your mind about your choices) at any time?

Yes

Details of experience

Was a trusting experience with a very experienced midwife that I got to build trust and a relationship with- As it should be!. I was heard in every way possible, I was undisturbed and supported by those I wanted and needed.
